Tea Storage
Tea storage is extremely important to preserve the tea color, nutrition and flavor. Chinese have used containers made of bamboo, wood, clay, porcelain, and metal to store tea. The key to tea storage is dryness, temperature, and flavor.
Green Tea Storage
It is preferred that green tea products, especially fresh green tea products, to be stored in dry, sealed container at low temperature place such as refrigerator. The usual period to store the fresh tea product is one year. However, many find it could be longer.
Oolong Tea & Red Tea Storage
Oolong Tea and Red Tea are partial or fully fermented tea. So store in the sealed dry container at room temperature with no direct exposure to sunlight would be OK. Refrigerated storage is also recommended, but not required.
